One of the Most Beautiful PNW Marathons

One of the Most Beautiful PNW Marathons

Run one of the most popular PNW marathons in 2018: The Pacific Northwest Marathon, September 15th in Eugene, Oregon. This race is often abbreviated as PNW Marathon. We don’t mind. It’s because our participants appreciate the beauty of the PNW countryside while running our marathon.

Our unique course takes you on a journey down the Willamette river from one town to another. The starting point is the quaint, tree-lined downtown of Coburg, Oregon. The finish line is the peaceful town of Harrisburg, Oregon, situated along the Willamette River. Both towns are very excited to host you for this race.

Both the marathon and half follow a point to point course with no back tracking. That makes it easier to follow and not as crowded. It also means you get to run gradually downhill. Hurray for downhill in the PNW Marathon!

Run a Beautiful PNW Marathon

Have you ever visited the beautiful pacific northwest? You can see from these photos how green and luscious it is. That’s one of the reasons people love to run this PNW marathon. In fact, some people abbreviate the Pacific Northwest Marathon as PNW Marathon. We don’t mind. It shows they associate our race with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

In the fall, this PNW marathon is even more strikingly beautiful. Run through corridors of towering oak trees, red, orange, and green maples, deep purple plums, golden grains ready for harvest. Visit the farms and see orange pumpkins, and apples of every color ripening on the trees. The tree-lined Willamette River accompanies you.
